What is a underfloor heating system?
Underfloor heating is a form of central heating that achieves indoor climate control for thermal comfort using hydronic or electrical heating elements embedded in a floor.
According hydronic or electrical heating elements, we divided underfloor heating systems into:
● Electric Underfloor Heating System
● Water Underfloor Heating System
What is the difference between electric and water underfloor heating system?
1. In Electric Underfloor Heating System, electrical heating elements are installed beneath the floor which heat up, to warm the room from the ground up. General electrical heating elements are heating cables, heating mats, heating films, etc.
2. In a Water-based Underfloor Heating System, heating tubes are installed beneath the floor, and connected to a boiler via a manifold, it circulates warm water throughout the floor to heat the room space.
To control different underfloor heating elements, we design and develop different thermostats.
l If you use thermostat to control Electrical Heating Elements in Electric Underfloor Heating System, you can choose our Electric Heating Thermostat. The Wiring Diagram is as below:
l If you use thermostat to control Hydronic Heating Elements, such as Motorized Valves, Thermal Actuators, you can choose our Water Heating Thermostat. The Wiring Diagram is as below:
